A strong storm system in the Plains begins to head towards Arkansas Friday, bringing more rounds of rain and thunderstorms going into the weekend.

Later Friday afternoon, storms that develop over Oklahoma will move into Western Arkansas.

These storms could be strong or severe with gusty winds and hail being the main threats.

Over the weekend, a cold front and low-pressure area move across our region. More widespread rain is likely on Saturday with the most likely area for strong storms being in Eastern Arkansas. Most of the state should see 1-2” of rain before the storms wrap up early on Sunday.
